Free HHMF sponsored hair care services are provided September through May of each year (during the school year).

All of our girls receive free hair care services twice per month, from 9th to 12th grade.

All of our stylists provide healthy hair care services and they work diligently to nourish each girl’s hair to HHMF standards.

We know that hair care is not everything, but to a young girl, it’s very important. It directly affects her self-esteem. We understand that if she feels good about her outward appearance, we have a better chance at helping pull out the greatness that’s found on the inside her.

“We often see our hair as a reflection of our identity because it is both personal and public. Many women feel that a bad hair day equals a bad day: when a woman’s hair is too fine, too frizzy, too dry, turning grey or falling out, her self-esteem is seriously affected. This deep personal relationship between hair and self-esteem is evident throughout history, philosophy and even religion.”
